Today we drove to the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and got a spot at the Peregrine Famcamp (campground) on the base. It's a very nice campground with trees and full service (electric, water and waste) for a reasonable cost They have 105 sites for campers (motor homes/fifth wheels and campers) year round and have ten sites for tents. Warnings are posted to keep animals on a lease as there are mountain lions and bears here. Plus they have rattlesnakes. The altitude here is 6035. Altitude does strange things to sealed items. Our toothpaste and lotions explode out of the tube and see the photo below of the potato chips.
On the way in, I drove by the dump station since we weren't able to dump the tanks in Canon City. It was closed for maintenance and as I turned around to get out, I scraped (dented) the left side of the truck. Damaged both doors and the front part of the bed. DAMN!! Can't open the rear door .Picture below.
