2015-08-29 T. Graham Brown
We have seen
T. Graham a couple times now. Once in Pigeon Forge, TN at a Gospel Tribute to
our Armed Forces and again at the Paramount Theater in Burlington, NC. Both times we have thoroughly enjoyed being
entertained by him and just love his songs. He has that down home rich quality
in his voice that doesn’t waiver even after all these years. We saw him in
Chumuckla, FL a couple years ago and again in Pace, FL last March.
T. Graham is now in his early sixties and his
performances reflect his younger years and the accomplishments he made with songs such as “Darlene”,” Don’t go to
Strangers”, “The Last Resort”, “Tell it Like it used To Be”, and many others.
My favorites are “Wine Into Water” and “Which Way to Pray.” Of course he sang
many favorites that the audience just loved.
The Paramount Theater can seat 400 and it appeared to be quite full. It is a restored movie theater from the late twenties and home to many performing artists and
musical groups.

T. Graham
talked to the crowd and made everyone feel like an old friend. He told us about
his church building projects he has with International Cooperating Ministries. They
build small churches in countries like Guatemala to allow the people a place to
worship the LORD.
Opening for T. Graham were two local
performers. One was an Elvis Impersonator from Graham, NC, who was quite good
and was dressed and performed like the real Elvis. The other was an American
Idol contestant, Chelsie Sorrell, who finished in the top 24 of the 2012 season.
She is now married and she had her new baby boy with her. In addition to her
short performance, she sang back up for T. Graham.
We always seem to meet new people who becomes friends and this outing produced another couple that we enjoyed talking to. Meet Grant and Denise Matthews. Grant is a retired U.S. Marine Major (Marines never retire-they just rest awhile) with over 20 years active service. OORA! My brother was a Vietnam Veteran Marine Master Gunnery Sargent (E-9). GOD rest his sole. We lost him to Agent Orange 20 years ago.
